Laundry Operations Director Role

Job Title: Laundry Operations Manager

Division: Maintenance and Fresh Linen

Reports To: Performance Team Lead

Direct Reports: Laundry Team Members

The Maintenance business complements our core services, providing maintenance, landscaping, and housekeeping. As the Operations Manager, you will maintain service standards and ensure operational goals are met for our linen and laundry business.

You will work closely with support and leadership teams, delivering on work outcomes. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing linen and laundry operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage linen and laundry operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and coordinate team activities.
  • Maintain extremely high standards of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work effectively under pressure, especially during peak seasons and weekends.
  • Create, review, and maintain operational best practices throughout the evolution of the role.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Creating and adhering to workplace health and safety policies.
  • Supervising, training, and daily managing the team (roster, shift covering).
  • Coordina ng work assignments.
  • Overseeing and undertaking the laundering of linen, as required.
  • Safe use of laundry equipment and machinery.
  • Collec on and delivery of linen to vendors as required.
  • Ensuring goods are produced for the customer on time and to the right quality standard every day.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current driver's license.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Well-organised.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise competing demands.

Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:

  • Effec ve interpersonal skills with proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Well-developed general business computing skills (e.g., Excel, Word, CRM).
  • Demonstrated ability to step up to challenging conversations and resolve conflict effectively.
  • Working knowledge of production monitoring systems.
  • Proven ability to read data and take continuous improvement actions based on facts obtained from it.
