Job Summary:

Ampersand International is seeking a highly skilled Program Director to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive health data program. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, technical oversight, and data governance expertise to drive the program's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the health data program, encompassing the design, technical build, and implementation of a contemporary data lakehouse, complex reporting layer, data governance, and data quality management.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee the technical architecture, development, and maintenance of the data lakehouse, ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance.
  • Technical Oversight:
    • Drive the delivery of a sophisticated reporting layer that meets the diverse analytical needs of stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement robust data governance frameworks, including defining data structures, roles, and processes.
  • Data Governance:
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in data governance.
    • Establish and maintain a data quality management program, implementing processes and tools to monitor, cleanse, and enhance the quality of health data.
  • Data Quality Management:
    • Collaborate with data stewards and relevant teams to resolve data quality issues promptly.
    • Foster collaboration with key partners, vendors, and subject matter experts to drive successful program outcomes.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the health data program, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Proactively address challenges and provide effective solutions to keep the program on track.

Necessary Experience:

  • Strategic leadership for the planning, execution, and delivery of projects.
  • Coordinate work and communication across work streams.
  • Stakeholder engagement and management (internal and external).
  • Proactive management of project risks and issues.
  • Overseeing benefits realisation.
  • Providing regular status reports to provide senior leadership with insights into project performance.
