Job Description

The Derivatives Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of derivatives-related tasks, including trade clearing, funding, and exception handling. This role requires a strong understanding of exchange-traded derivatives markets, systems, and process workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process trade clearing efficiently and accurately for all relevant markets
  • Ensure any give ups/take ups/EFP/NLT bookings are processed in a timely manner
  • Exception handling and reporting on the post-trade clearing process
  • Process any post-trade requests from clients/front office (Position transfers, closeouts, trade re-allocation, system settlement of trades)
  • Investigate and resolve any clearing breaks raised and ensure root-cause level resolution
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in derivatives operations
  • A good understanding of exchange-traded derivatives markets, systems, and process workflows
  • Strong knowledge of key risk areas of the function and its relevant controls
  • High standards of accuracy, diligence, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • A process excellence mindset coupled with initiative
  • Strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholder communication
