About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solar Engineer to join our team at DNV. As a Senior Solar Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, review, and feasibility assessment of renewable energy projects, working closely with our team of solar and storage engineering specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct technical due diligence of pre-construction through to operational solar and storage projects
  • Provide assurance on project viability through pre-feasibility and red-flag assessments
  • Develop technical specifications and provide assistance to clients for all aspects of solar farm and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction
  • Develop, review, and execute Owners, Lenders, and Independent Engineer scopes of work
  • Conduct site visits and undertake inspection services for solar and storage projects
  • Conduct greenfield site visits to appraise the characteristics of potential development sites
  • Design support and feasibility studies for solar and storage projects
  • Completion of performance reviews and evaluation of solar farm installations
  • Design efficient solar farms and BESS considering complex site constraints
  • Assist clients with procurement, including contract negotiation and tendering
Key Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Science degree in solar or renewable energy or other relevant discipline
  • Approx. 8 to 10 years of professional experience
  • Experience in the solar and storage industry
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Adaptability, and able to cope with a wide variety of tasks
  • Ability to produce clear written reports and communicate verbally in English
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues in a team environment
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and creativity
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
