Project Engineer

About the Role:

  • Delivering complex infrastructure projects requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and collaboration with stakeholders.

As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of major road infrastructure projects in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor Site Engineers and Graduates to foster a collaborative team culture.
  • Oversee the structures scope of the project, including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other civil structures, ensuring compliance with design specifications and Australian Standards.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality workmanship.
  • Provide technical support and engineering services to ensure safety, environmental, and contractual requirements are met.
  • Monitor progress, budgets, and schedules, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and government authorities, to ensure smooth project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in civil infrastructure delivery, preferably on major road projects in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in structures delivery on transport infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of DIT (SA Department for Infrastructure and Transport) specifications and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commitment to safety, environmental sustainability, and quality outcomes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and construction methodologies.
