Job Opportunity: Associate Director

This position involves leading the development and establishment of an integrated model for providing medical centre and counselling services to the university community.

The successful candidate will hold a key leadership role within Student Services, with oversight of the end-to-end management of the service ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This includes managing physical, financial, technological, human resources and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and management of physical, financial, technological and human resources within a large, complex organisation
  • Fostering a high performance culture through motivating, developing, coaching and empowering staff to achieve excellence in service
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and maintain constructive client and partnership relationships
  • Ability to plan, analyse, evaluate and implement decisions in line with business objectives to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery outcomes

Requirements for the role include:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in a related discipline combined with extensive relevant managerial experience in a medical service environment
  • Record of success in leadership and management, particularly in fostering a high performance culture
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, negotiate and influence stakeholders, and maintain partnerships
