Job Title: Community Outreach Coordinator

The Community Outreach Coordinator will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with project stakeholders, community groups, and key partners. They will be responsible for developing and implementing effective community engagement strategies to promote project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement community outreach plans to engage with local communities and stakeholders on projects across Australia
  • Represent the organization through written, phone, and in-person communications to build trust and rapport with local communities
  • Enhance the organization's reputation as a leader in renewable energy development and operation by providing information and liaising with local communities
  • Manage social risk on projects with a focus on maintaining positive relationships with communities and key stakeholders
  • Assist with corporate communications activities such as press releases, sponsorship, and branding

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of liaising with local communities and stakeholders
  • Understanding of community engagement principles and techniques for rural communities
  • Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities involved in delivering energy or infrastructure projects
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team and liaising with different internal subject matter experts

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification with a minimum of four years of experience in community engagement, stakeholder management in renewable energy or relevant other industry
  • Valid driving license
