This is a software architect position

About the role

We're looking for a skilled Software Architect to support the next evolution of our marketplace framework. As a contractor, you will be working 100% remotely with flexible daily/weekly hours.

As a key member of our team, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop a modular, event-driven architecture for our platform. You will be responsible for:

  • Audit and strengthen module isolation (reduce hidden coupling).
  • Push toward a stronger event-driven architecture (pub/sub over direct calls).
  • Lay the foundation for customization: moving from fragile inheritance overrides toward clear extension hooks, composition patterns, and well-documented integration points.
  • Make the platform easier to scale, extend, and maintain, both for internal teams and external developers.
Required skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Strong expertise in composable modular architecture and event-driven design.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Fastify, Apollo, TypeORM, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of frontend development using React v15 & v19.
  • Mid-Senior level experience as a Software Architect.
