Overview

Senior Technical Architect role at Fortescue. Location: Perth, WA. Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Work Location: Perth, WA. Roster: Monday to Friday. Fortescue is a global green energy and resources company recognised for culture, innovation and development of infrastructure, mining assets and green energy initiatives.

Fortescue Integrated Technology (FIT) works in partnerships across the business to accelerate delivery of business goals with digital technologies. Responsibilities
  • Understand company needs to define system specifications.
  • Plan and design technology solutions that meet specific business, commercial, infrastructure or functional requirements.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods.
  • Technically oversee assigned projects and provide guidance to team members.
  • Assist with solving technical problems when they arise.
  • Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals.
  • Partner closely with external partners and internal stakeholders to develop a strong consultative relationship providing fit for purpose advice and support.
  • Contribute to the broader organisational Architecture community within Fortescue and with building a 'centre of excellence'.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 10+ years demonstrable architectural experience developing and delivering complex solutions.
  • Relevant tertiary or post-graduate qualification in an Information Technology or Computer Science field (preferred).
  • Certification in The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) - highly desired.
  • Significant experience in presales, design, and implementation of technology solutions particularly in the Mining & Resources sector.
  • Proven experience delivering organisational change and engaging with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to engage people across all levels of business and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Blend of technical, commercial, and consulting experience.
  • Proven ability to create compelling proposals and value propositions.
