Procurement Specialist

As an Indirect Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting construction projects by providing efficient and secured tools for indirect procurement activities. This position requires strong experience managing the supplier selection process, creating supplier contracts, and managing contract execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and launch Request for Quotation with suppliers.
  • Support supplier panel relationship and lead project negotiation as per Australian Standards.
  • Monitor Procurement project QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development)
  • Support Indirect commodity strategy and panel elaboration as well as consolidate the commodity needs and inputs.
  • Manage specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances)
  • Manage all contract variations and claims with the suppliers.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience defining indirect procurement strategy and supporting make-or-buy decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading negotiations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Previous experience as Estimator, Costing Officer or Sourcing Specialist within Residential Building, Commercial building or other Construction industries.
  • Knowledge of cost structures, costing activities during pre-tendering phase, target price and gap analysis.
