Lead Structural Design Specialist

We are seeking a senior structural engineer to lead our structural engineering team based in Melbourne.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and the ability to work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed designs and specifications for structures using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible and practical.
- Oversee the construction process to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues.
- Coordinate junior engineers and structural modellers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A recognized Bachelor of Engineering degree in a relevant field such as civil or architectural engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Victoria.
- At least 7 years of experience as a structural engineer in a consulting environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local building codes and standards.
- Experience in the design and analysis of various materials such as steel, concrete, and others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
