Lead Structural Designer

A structural engineering consultancy is seeking a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to develop designs and specifications for structures, collaborate with architects and contractors, and oversee the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed designs and specifications for various types of structures.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure feasibility and practicality of designs.
- Oversee the implementation of designs during construction, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with local building codes and standards.
- Coordinate and lead junior engineers and structural modellers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Recognized Bachelor of Engineering degree in a relevant field.
- PE(Vic) certification or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of experience as a structural engineer in a consulting environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local building codes and standards.
- Expertise in the design and analysis of steel, precast concrete, reinforced concrete, and PT concrete.
- Strong site experience and exposure to managing construction issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
