IT Systems Engineer Job Overview

Peoplebank is seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting enterprise IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical expertise in systems administration, technical support, and service management
  • Deploying and managing cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Office 365
  • Maintaining enterprise backup and disaster recovery systems using Dell PowerProtect and DataDomain
  • Developing and implementing scripting and automation solutions using PowerShell and Bicep
  • Ensuring the integrity of virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Configuring and troubleshooting networking infrastructure, including Cisco and Azure Virtual Networks
  • Implementing security measures and application delivery solutions using Palo Alto and F5
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in IT systems engineering and technical support
  • Deep technical expertise in Microsoft enterprise environments, cloud platforms, and virtualization technologies
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools, including PowerShell and Bicep
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
  • A tertiary qualification or ITIL certification
