Support Services Counsellor

This role presents an opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational journey of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

We strive to create a supportive environment that fosters strong connections between families, the wider community, and our school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and lead school-based interventions to strengthen student wellbeing and engagement.
  • Engage regional services and external agencies to enhance educational outcomes.
  • Provide educational counselling and support services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and students.
  • Develop relationships between the school, families, and Elders to promote Indigenous student engagement with education and training.
  • Establish and maintain links with out-of-school sources of information and support services.
