Job Description

As a seasoned communications expert, you will drive our industry strategy and policy division in a job-share role. Your key responsibilities will include planning, developing, and implementing effective communications strategies, leveraging proactive planning with business units, stakeholder engagement, and high-quality communications plans.

You will oversee the Communications team, delivering best-practice and innovative communication and digital services across the department. Your leadership skills will be essential in providing expert advice on communications issues, including marketing, branding, sponsorship, industry partnerships, and event management.

Key to this role is your ability to lead internal communications, ensuring the workforce is aware of requirements, successes, and opportunities. You will work closely with all Communications branch streams to identify and mitigate risks while leveraging opportunities.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in communications, preferably in a government context, strong management skills, and outstanding relationship management and teamwork capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or a related field, or significant experience in a similar role, preferably within the public sector.
  • A current driver's license is essential, with out-of-hours work and interstate travel possible.
