Role Summary

This role requires a seasoned AI engineer to lead the technical vision for our Model Platform, spearheading ambitious projects and acting as a force multiplier for the entire engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive long-term architectural roadmap for the Model Platform, making foundational decisions that will scale for years to come.

  • Lead complex and ambiguous technical projects from concept to production, designing and building entirely new systems.

  • Architect for excellence, designing and writing elegant, highly scalable, and reliable code for critical parts of the platform.

  • Create cross-functional synergy, translating business strategy into clear technical strategy and ensuring alignment across the company.

  • Mentor and elevate the engineering team by mentoring senior engineers and championing a culture of technical rigor, innovation, and execution.

Requirements

  • Deep, proven track record (8-10+ years) of architecting, building, and shipping complex AI/ML platforms and products.

  • Recognized technical authority in Python, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems, with system designs that are robust, scalable, and pragmatic.

  • Profound understanding of the LLM ecosystem, including GPU-level optimisations and advanced fine-tuning techniques.

  • World-class communication and strategic skills, capable of articulating complex technical vision to engineers, product managers, and C-level executives.

  • Founder-engineer mindset, with high agency, strategic thinking, pragmatism, and an obsessive drive to build things with massive impact.
