
Rail Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary
Maintain and repair locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant, and infrastructure to ensure they meet safety and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and corrective maintenance and fault repairs using best practices.
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety regulations and technical specifications.
- Keep accurate records and documentation of asset conditions, maintenance activities, and costs.
- Report completed work against the scheduled program.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of work procedures for continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Proficient in computer use.
- Possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in repairing and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock is highly valued.
- Demonstrate robust fault-finding and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Knowledgeable in relevant legislation, including the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
- Experience with locomotives and wagons is a plus, but training will be provided.
