About this Role:

This is a safety-focused position where you will be working closely with a Track Inspector to ensure all of Aurizon's assets are certified for continued operation within specified timeframes and any faults are recorded and actioned appropriately.

The role involves assisting in effective planning, organisation, communication, and leadership to enable the safe and efficient delivery of rail infrastructure inspections. This will require ensuring all work is performed in accordance with relevant standards and in a cost-efficient and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Track Inspector in planning, organising, communicating, and leading to ensure safe and efficient rail infrastructure inspections.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant standards, procedures, and processes.
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality results by implementing cost-effective and timely solutions.
  • Identify and record faults, following established processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Certification II in Rail Infrastructure (mandatory)
  • Unrestricted 'C' Class Driver Licence (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of rail infrastructure maintenance, inspection standards, systems, and processes

  • You will need to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate and timely fault recording.
