Legal Counsel Role

Beacon Legal has partnered with a leading international renewable energy business to hire a legal professional at the 3-6 years post-qualification experience level, based in Sydney.

About the Job
  • Provide legal assistance for commercial and project-related matters throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate key agreements with contractors, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business teams across development, finance, construction, and operations to ensure project success.
  • Engage with external advisors and counterparties to progress transactions and manage risk.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and provide guidance on compliance and governance matters.
Requirements
  • Admitted as a lawyer in Australia.
  • Practising as a construction or major projects lawyer for 3-6 years in private practice and/or in-house.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail, able to prioritise multiple tasks and take ownership of smaller matters while supporting complex projects.
  • Genuine interest in the renewable energy sector and a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset.
