About This Opportunity
Accor, a world leader in the hotel industry, is seeking a motivated and skilled Cafe/Restaurant Supervisor to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to external and internal guests, ensuring smooth and efficient food and beverage service, and leading a team of professionals to achieve our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure all Team Members maintain high standards of service.
- Assign tasks and duties to Team Members, ensuring rotation of job tasks and maximizing productivity.
- Conduct pre-service and post-service briefings, as required.
- Support the Head of Department in ensuring all Team Members receive thorough inductions, ongoing training, and attend formal training sessions.
- Assist in preparing training plans for Team Members and conducting on-the-job training sessions.
- Monitor rosters in accordance with legislation and business levels, ensuring the department is staffed appropriately and operating within budgetary guidelines.
- Maintain par levels and order stock as required.
- Have a strong understanding of all licensing and operating legislation affecting the department.
- Complete operational reports on a daily basis, establishing workable records of the department's history for future forecasting.
- Ensure food items offered in the outlet are of a consistent standard and provide feedback to the Chef on sales, wastage, menu changes, or special requests.
- Establish and maintain open channels of communication between all departments in the Property, particularly the kitchen, to ensure smooth operation.
- Ensure the department is consistently ready for service at scheduled operating times.
- Perform the reconciliation of daily takings.
- Ensure Team Members have strong product knowledge of ingredients, methods of preparation, and presentation of all items on the menu and buffet.
- Ensure Team Members have strong product knowledge of all wine styles on the outlet wine list.
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures are carried out to an acceptable standard.
- Promptly report any maintenance work required in the proximity of the outlet to the Head of Department.
- Assist guests with enquiries and complaints, providing accurate information about Property facilities and features.
Requirements:
- A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate is essential.
- A strong understanding of the day-to-day operations of running a restaurant is necessary.
- A passion for sequence of service and a desire to create an amazing experience for every customer is required.
- A well-rounded leader with excellent communication skills is essential.
Additional Information
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive hourly rate of $28.87, equivalent to $57,047.12 - $67,000 per annum, based on working days and penalties applicable as per the Hospitality Industry General Award.
