A dynamic leader is required to champion a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices.

This position involves strategically leading health, safety and training initiatives that promote a safe work environment at our Moranbah site.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Project Manager and form part of the site's senior leadership team. Responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Influencing peers to achieve a zero harm vision">
  • Implementing project safety management plans through effective leadership">
  • Motivating personnel to take ownership of health and safety across all levels of the project">
  • Developing and ensuring the effectiveness of the health and safety system">
  • Overseeing a team of health, safety and training professionals to ensure delivery of high quality work">
  • Leading the safety culture on site to protect everyone's well-being">
  • Managing projects and budgets to deadlines">

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • ">
  • A minimum of a diploma in Occupational Health and Safety with tertiary qualifications in safety or a similar field highly regarded">
  • At least five years' experience in a similar role with extensive experience in an operational mining environment">
  • Extensive experience working with workers' compensation, risk management and incident investigations">
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders">
  • Ability to influence and implement strategic and cultural change">
  • Outstanding skills with Microsoft Office applications">
