Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper to join our facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of our campus, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for everyone.

About the Role

This is a full-time, fixed-term position working 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our facilities team to provide a high level of cleanliness and organization to our campus. This includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and other cleaning duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the campus, including classrooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, polishers, and blowers.
  • Sweeping, mopping, and buffing tiled floors.
  • Vacuuming carpets, mats, and other floor surfaces.
  • Dusting desks, tables, shelves, and ledges.
  • Collecting litter, emptying, and washing rubbish bins.
  • Removing graffiti from desks, chairs, and walls.
  • Cleaning windows, fans, fridges, stoves, toilets, sinks, and basins.
  • Sweeping, blowing, and hosing/pressure cleaning paved areas.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Recent experience in a cleaning or services role.
  • An understanding and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety legislation and professional regulations.
  • The ability to follow safety precautions and use protective equipment when necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks with competing timelines.
