Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Team Leader of Reactive Maintenance. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for delivering reactive maintenance services across Council-owned, operated and tenanted facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a team conducting minor maintenance activities, and manage on-site reactive maintenance
  • Triage, prioritise and assign maintenance tasks
  • Engage with internal staff and facility users, and external contractors to scope, schedule and monitor works
  • Conduct in-field audits to ensure quality, compliance to regulatory statutory requirements, and safety standards
  • Collaborate with peers to create financial efficiencies and continually uplift performance data tracking
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate-level qualification in building services, facility management, or a relevant trade/technical field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience undertaking and coordinating field-based maintenance services and supervising contractors or staff
  • Sound understanding of building systems, statutory and regulatory compliance requirements, WHS obligations and maintenance standards and practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience managing operational challenges and service delays professionally
  • Proficiency in Technology One or similar work order systems
  • A current Victorian Driver's Licence, Construction Induction (White) Card, and Working with Children Check
