Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to join our maintenance team as a skilled handyperson.

The role involves completing daily plant rounds, maintaining mechanical equipment, and ensuring all equipment is used and stored correctly.

You will work independently as part of a small maintenance brigade and have strong communication skills.


Key Responsibilities
  • Complete daily plant rounds and note any faulty equipment for repair.
  • Carry out routine maintenance on mechanical equipment and water reticulation.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, used, and stored correctly.
  • Assist in keeping up-to-date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Liaise with supervisors/managers/contractors regarding work in guest rooms and public areas.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a duty technician or handyperson is preferred.
  • Ability to work a 6-day roster (Mon-Sat).
  • Customer-focused and well-groomed.
  • Reliable and safe-minded individual with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Well-organized with ability to work under time constraints.
  • Strong communication skills.
