The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join our highly respected NSW Ecology team. As a member of this team, you will contribute to Umwelt's reputation for ecological projects across NSW and grow our service capacity in this area.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, botany, zoology, or a related field;
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience;
- Accreditation or experience under the NSW Biodiversity Offset Scheme (highly desirable);
- Terrestrial flora and/or fauna survey experience, including planning surveys and coordinating field teams;
- Demonstrated experience in project managing medium and large-scale development and/or biodiversity offsetting projects;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including preparing and reviewing reports;
- A high level of motivation and a strong commitment to teamwork.
