Visual Storyteller - 4 Day Week

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Visual Storyteller to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, using your expertise in photography and videography to capture stunning images that bring our brand to life.

The successful candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to create high-quality visual content across a range of formats and styles. They will be able to work independently as well as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

The role will involve working on a variety of projects, including commercial photography, videography and editing. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to different styles and genres, while maintaining the highest level of quality and consistency.

Responsibilities:
  • Capture high-quality images and videos that meet the briefs and reflect our brand.
  • Edit and enhance images and videos to ensure they meet our visual standards.
  • Use industry-standard software and techniques to refine images and videos and ensure they are ready for use in campaigns and other assets.
  • Research the industry and competitors to ensure the images and videos stand out and reflect current trends.
  • Ensure appropriate management of files and backups and ensure any necessary paperwork or documentation is completed on time.
  • Consistently communicate with relevant teams regarding delivery times and schedules.
Requirements:
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Photography, Visual Arts or related fields is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience in commercial photography, especially in delivering client-specific images under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with shooting in outdoor environments, including managing lighting conditions and weather challenges.
  • Understanding of OOH media standards, including Pro Pics and Proof of Posting requirements, is advantageous.
  • Comfortable driving long distances within Melbourne and interstate as required; familiarity with Melbourne's geography is a plus.
  • Ability to provide a portfolio showcasing a variety of photographic styles and post-production skills.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom and advanced Photoshop techniques (e.g. color grading, masking, and compositing).
  • Familiarity with professional-grade cameras, lenses and lighting equipment; ability to perform basic equipment maintenance.
  • Understanding of different file formats and their application in digital media and print.
  • Experience in drone operation and aerial photography, including licensing or certifications, is a bonus.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
