Job Description

The Commissioning Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless commissioning and completions of infrastructure projects within the water treatment department.

This position oversees the entire process, from planning to execution, guaranteeing compliance with Contract, Schedule, Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Security policy, Site regulations, and Client requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving the Commissioning team to ensure timely and effective commissioning preparation and execution, meeting technical requirements and project deadlines.
  • Assisting the Delivery team in reviewing and accepting completions and handover works, contributing to risk control.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive testing, commissioning, performance testing, reliability testing, process proving, and operator training plans to achieve project handover.
  • Providing leadership and technical direction to project staff, Design Partners, Subcontractors, Project Managers, Technology Vendors, and blue-collar workforce to ensure safety and quality standards.
  • Preparing, implementing, and revising the Testing & Commissioning Management Plan and Sub-plans in compliance with Contract requirements and strategy.
  • Reviewing Test & Commissioning Management Plans prepared by sub-contractors or suppliers.
  • Developing required commissioning documentation (organisation, staffing, program, schedules, templates, test procedures) according to project needs.
  • Reviewing commissioning and handover documentation when it falls within the scope of subcontractors/vendors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in M&E installation/testing & commissioning within large-scale construction of brownfield wastewater treatment plant upgrades.
  • Successful project delivery experience as a Commissioning Manager.
