Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Lifestyle Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis (70 hours per fortnight) at our Inner West Day Centre in Ashfield.

As a Lifestyle Officer, you will assist in the evaluation, design, and delivery of enjoyable lifestyle programs that support the emotional well-being of our community clients.

  • Conduct activity programs/therapy, diversional therapy, and recreations.
  • Encourage the participation of all care recipients in the activity program.
  • Record progress notes.
  • Carry out duties as directed by the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator.
  • Active participation in the delivery and evaluation of activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A proactive and energetic person with a strong customer service focus is required. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Lifestyle (or equivalent in a similar area).
  • Previous experience facilitating Lifestyle and Recreation programs advantageous.
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Current NSW Driver's License.
  • Drive an 8-seater bus or be willing to learn.
  • Well-developed computer skills.
  • Self-motivation with well-developed organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Community care and/or experience working with clients with dementia preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

What We Can Offer You:

$29.76 to $31.43 per hour plus non-for-profit salary packaging benefits.
