About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Program Engineer to join our team at Alliance Airlines. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the regulatory compliance of our aircraft maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance
    • Ensure continual compliance of the aircraft maintenance programs, reliability program, and ancillary functions.
    • Manage the control and completion of all assigned SMS actions and findings in a timely manner.
    • Encourage safety reporting within the SMS by all staff.
  • Operations
    • Assess applicable ADs and SBs and recommend inclusion in the AMP.
    • Prepare work scope for maintenance assessments required to provide compliance with ADs, SBs, or Alliance requirements, inclusive of spares/resource requirements and associated costs.
    • Provide technical guidance on suitable alternate parts manufacturers or other approved data.
    • Assist in alternate tool approval process.
    • Prepare and submit cost-based reports for proposed/required modifications.
    • Develop modifications in conjunction with approved external design organizations and AMOs, and incorporate these modifications in the Alliance AMP.
    • Evaluate defects in conjunction with the Reliability team for revision to maintenance requirements.
    • Provide major assembly assessment as required.
    • Technical assessment of A/C manufacturer and vendor documentation for implications to the AMP and implementation on agreed changes.
    • Support management in planning for and executing safe operations.
    • Compliance with safety laws and regulations.
    • Awareness of Company Safety and Security Policy & Procedures and actions in accordance with applicable regulations and company standards.
    • Provision of ad hoc technical support to Alliance Engineering.
  • Safety & Security Compliance
    • Promote and maintain a high standard of quality, safety, and security compliance as required by the Alliance Airlines Corporate Safety Manual by all subordinate staff.
    • Promote safety & security reporting within SMS by all staff.
    • Ensure a high standard of OH&S and environmental compliance in accordance with state law.
    Requirements
    • Qualifications
      • Hold, or have held, an aircraft engineer license in category B1, B2, or C; or
      • Hold, or have held, a license that is equivalent to a license in category B1, B2, or C; or
      • Have a qualification in aircraft maintenance at least at Certificate IV level; or
      • Have an engineering qualification at least at diploma level in any of the following disciplines:
        • Aeronautical;
        • Avionics;
        • Mechanical;
        • Electrical;
    • Knowledge
      • Knowledge of the CAMO's exposition.
      • Comprehensive knowledge of A/C and systems relevant to their field of expertise.
    • Skills
      • Effective time management and organizational skills.
      • Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
      • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team-focused environment.
      • Well-developed computing skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite of programs.
      • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
      • Ability to analyze and develop technical documentation.
      • Ability to evaluate defects to establish cause and preventions.
      • Attention to detail.
    • Experience
      • Experience in the aviation industry.
