An exciting opportunity for an Aircraft Maintenance Program Specialist is available at our Alliance Airlines Hangar in Brisbane. We are seeking a proactive individual who excels in a fast-paced environment.
Your role will involve providing technical support to ensure adherence to regulatory standards for the Alliance Airlines fleet concerning maintenance programs, aircraft modifications, and relevant documentation.
Key Responsibilities
The Aircraft Maintenance Program Specialist will be tasked with the following:
Compliance Management
- Ensure ongoing compliance with aircraft maintenance programs and reliability initiatives.
- Oversee the management and resolution of all assigned Safety Management System (SMS) actions and findings promptly.
- Foster a culture of safety reporting within the SMS framework among all personnel.
Operational Duties
- Evaluate applicable Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) and recommend their integration into the Maintenance Program.
- Develop work scopes for maintenance evaluations necessary for compliance with ADs, SBs, or company standards, including resource requirements and associated costs.
- Provide technical advice on approved alternate parts manufacturers and related data.
- Assist in the approval process for alternative tools.
- Prepare and submit cost-based reports for proposed modifications.
- Collaborate with approved external design organizations and Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) to develop modifications and incorporate them into the Maintenance Program.
- Work with the Reliability team to assess defects and revise maintenance requirements accordingly.
- Conduct major assembly assessments as needed.
- Perform technical evaluations of manufacturer and vendor documentation for implications on the Maintenance Program and implement agreed changes.
- Support management in planning and executing safe operational practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain awareness of the company's Safety and Security Policies and act in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Provide ad hoc technical support to the Engineering team.
Safety & Security Compliance
- Uphold a high standard of quality, safety, and security compliance as outlined in the Alliance Airlines Corporate Safety Manual.
- Encourage safety and security reporting within the SMS framework among all staff.
- Ensure adherence to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and environmental regulations in line with state laws.
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
- Possess or have previously held an aircraft engineer license in categories B1, B2, or C; or
- Hold a license equivalent to categories B1, B2, or C; or
- Have a qualification in aircraft maintenance at a minimum of Certificate IV level; or
- Hold an engineering qualification at least at diploma level in one of the following disciplines:
- Aeronautical;
- Avionics;
- Mechanical;
- Electrical;
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) exposition.
- Thorough understanding of aircraft systems relevant to the area of expertise.
Skills:
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient computing skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and reasoning skills.
- Ability to analyze and create technical documentation.
- Competence in evaluating defects to determine causes and preventive measures.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
Experience:
- Experience within the aviation sector.
To Be Successful
- Completion of secondary education.
- Aviation maintenance qualification (preferred).
- Prior experience in Maintenance Planning (preferred).
