About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Property Lawyer to join our team at LexisNexis. This exciting opportunity involves preparing and maintaining up-to-date content for our Practical Guidance product, which is Australia's most established and trusted resource for legal practice.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of property law transactions and advice, including sales and acquisitions, e-conveyancing, property development, commercial and retail leasing, and general property law (such as easements and covenants).

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, practically-focused content for our Practical Guidance product.

  • Monitor legal developments and changes in current practice to ensure accuracy and relevance.

  • Support the Senior Legal Writer with managing external author relationships and reviewing externally prepared content for accuracy and suitability.

  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to build brand awareness and influence market share across clients and stakeholders.

  • Participate in or contribute to in-market activities, such as masterclasses, webinars, and customer feedback sessions.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years PQE experience as a Commercial Property Lawyer in Australia.

  • Australian qualified lawyer with recent experience in an Australian mid to top tier law firm, in-house counsel, or Government role.

  • Demonstrated background in transactional and advisory work in property law, including sales and acquisitions, e-conveyancing, property development, commercial and retail leasing, and general property law (such as easements and covenants).

  • Excellent communication and plain-English writing skills.

  • Aptitude for building and fostering relationships with diverse clients and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
