Your Role...
As the Reliability Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the Reliability Team, ensuring the efficient management of the engineering Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) functions within the Reliability Program for our fleet.
This position is based at our Brisbane Airport Hangar and offers a Monday to Friday schedule with flexible working options.
Your Responsibilities...
- Ensure adherence to Part 42 exposition (CAME), procedures (EBP2), and work instructions by the team. Conduct technical analysis of performance data to enhance system and component reliability, maximizing component time on wing.
- Lead the team through effective communication, mentorship, and performance management.
- Proactively initiate measures to improve fleet performance, achieving reliability targets while fostering continuous improvement through system and process enhancements.
- Exemplify leadership qualities and establish clear performance metrics.
- Oversee team training in alignment with induction and company standards, ensuring staff are equipped for success through tailored training plans.
- Manage staff deployment effectively through roster management and provide support as needed. Oversee the recruitment and selection of team members and contractors.
To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need...
- A valid aircraft engineer license in category B1, B2, or equivalent, with type ratings and/or credits on current Virgin Australia aircraft or similar complexity aircraft, or a qualification in Aeronautical Aviation (Aeronautics, Mechanical, Avionics, or Electric).
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in an Airline Technical Services Management role for aircraft similar to those operated by the airline.
- Extensive familiarity with airline Engineering and Maintenance systems (EMS).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook (intermediate to advanced level).

- Knowledge or experience with Trax or Oracle systems is advantageous.
