Senior Officer, Peer Support and Transition

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Officer to join our team in the Faculty of Arts and Education. As a Senior Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the successful transition and engagement of students into their courses.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in student support and services, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and coordinating peer mentoring and transition programs tailored to the needs of commencing students within the Faculty.

You will collaborate with academic and professional staff to support the successful orientation and transition of students into their courses. This includes developing and delivering inclusive, culturally safe and accessible transition experiences for diverse student cohorts, including international, first-in-family and underrepresented groups.

To be successful, you will have a degree with subsequent relevant experience or extensive experience and specialist knowledge in technical or administrative fields. You will also have administrative experience working within a large organisation with formal administrative structures, policies and procedures, preferably in a tertiary educational institution.
