About the Role

The University of Canberra is seeking an experienced and passionate Associate Director to lead the Ngunnawal Centre, supporting First Nation students at UC. This is a full-time continuing opportunity with a salary range of $132,291 pa - $136,874 pa + 17% Super.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operational aspects of the Ngunnawal Centre, ensuring the success and realization of Indigenous Student Success and the Centre.
  • Strategically collaborate and foster relations with internal and external stakeholders to achieve specific targets related to Indigenous student success.
  • Develop and implement programs to create a culturally safe and supportive environment for Indigenous prospective students, current students, staff, and alumni.
  • Manage the Ngunnawal Centre budgets, adhere to reporting and governance requirements, and supervise staff performance and continuously improve practices and procedures.
Requirements
  • A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • A strong understanding of Indigenous education and support services.
  • Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Exceptional analytical and reporting skills.
  • Commitment to promoting Indigenous student success and higher education.
  • Financial management experience.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • The ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
