The University of Canberra is seeking an experienced professional to lead the Ngunnawal Centre, a key initiative in supporting the success of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. As the Associate Director - Indigenous Student Success, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the Centre, fostering strategic collaborations with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the development of a culturally safe and supportive environment for Indigenous students, staff, and alumni.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Ngunnawal Centre, including budget management and staff supervision.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve Indigenous student success and realisation of the Centre's goals.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote Indigenous student success and higher education.
- Contribute to the development of a culturally safe and supportive environment for Indigenous students, staff, and alumni.
We are seeking a candidate with a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a strong understanding of Indigenous education and support services, and experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation. You should possess exceptional analytical and reporting skills, commitment to promoting Indigenous student success and higher education, and financial management experience. Strong leadership and team management abilities, as well as the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, are also essential.
