Lead Consultant - National Infrastructure Advisory Team

The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the infrastructure sector has arisen with our National Infrastructure Advisory team. As a Lead Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing investment advisory services and leading business case development across transport, water, energy, and other sectors.

  • You will lead the delivery of business case development services for a national team, ensuring consistency and quality in approach.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop best-practice approaches to business case work, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and develop new project opportunities, helping shape the future of our team's work.
  • Prepare client proposals, including value propositions, methodologies, and budgets, that effectively communicate our services' benefits.
  • Nurture relationships – internally and externally – fostering a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investment Advisory Services: Provide expert advice on investment opportunities and strategies to clients.
  • Business Case Development: Lead the development of comprehensive business cases for infrastructure projects, considering multiple factors and scenarios.
  • Project Identification: Identify and develop new project opportunities, working closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs.
  • Client Propositions: Prepare compelling client proposals that highlight the value of our services and solutions.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, promoting open communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in economics, finance, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and strategically.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Organizational skills, with ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Track record of delivering projects in consulting, ideally with experience in infrastructure sectors.
