About North East Link

The North East Link project is a major infrastructure project in Victoria, Australia, aimed at improving the connectivity and efficiency of the state's freeway network. The project involves the construction of twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges, which will reduce journey times and divert heavy vehicles away from local roads.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team on the North East Link project. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and administering construction engineering activities, developing construction methods and engineering concepts, and monitoring construction progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Develop construction methods and engineering concepts to safely and cost-effectively deliver packages of work.
  • Monitor construction progress for adherence to program and report to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
  • Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects.
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment, and quality risk assessments to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
  • Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience in Civil or Tunnel Operations is required.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in successfully delivering large work packages.
  • Proven experience in managing site engineers on large-scale civil construction projects.
  • Ideal experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contractor on a construction project.
  • Ability to effectively manage budgets, systems, and stakeholders to achieve an exceptional outcome.
  • Excellent attitude and awareness of Safety.
  • Self-motivation and drive to achieve value-for-money results.
