Job Title: Events Strategy Lead

The City is seeking a strategic and innovative leader to develop and deliver an events strategy that positions Perth as a destination of choice for culture, business, and community.

As the Events Strategy Lead, you will be responsible for crafting and delivering an events strategy that attracts visitors, strengthens the local economy, and adds value to the community. This includes overseeing all aspects of event planning and delivery, ensuring quality, compliance, and effective risk management.

You will also lead with impact by championing partnerships that extend reach and create value for the City and its stakeholders. Additionally, you will own the portfolio by managing budgets and resources with a clear focus on outcomes and financial sustainability.

Key Requirements:

  • A proven track record in delivering major events and sponsorships, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
  • A tertiary qualification in events, marketing, communications, business, or related field.
  • Strong business acumen, including strategic planning, budgeting, and governance knowledge.
