Clinical Care Director Role

  • Relocation support is available for the right candidate.
  • This full-time role offers an attractive salary package: $130,000 – $145,000 + Super (negotiable).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated clinical team, building a positive and engaged culture.
  • Oversee all clinical operations, ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to create individualised care plans.
  • Ensure safe medication administration, infection control, and incident reporting practices.
  • Conduct regular audits, manage risk, and lead continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate staffing, resources, and training to ensure efficient service delivery and care continuity.
  • Drive accreditation readiness and respond to feedback, concerns, and complaints.
  • Support admissions and transitions, maintaining clinical excellence throughout the resident journey.
  • Champion dignity, diversity, inclusion, and resident choice across the care environment.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Essential).
  • Proven experience in a senior clinical role in residential aged care.
  • Deep knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and compliance frameworks.
  • Skilled in clinical assessments, care planning, risk management, and team leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lead through change and champion continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of cultural safety, diversity, and resident rights.
  • Proficiency with electronic care systems.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in aged care, clinical leadership, or health management (Desirable).
