Leadership and Governance Expert

This role involves leading a geographically dispersed team, providing strategic advice to senior executives, and acting as a key liaison across internal branches, delivery units, Road Safety Victoria, and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, applying systems thinking to understand complex organisational environments and identify high-impact solutions.

  • Led the development and delivery of the Speed Management program and School Crossing Risk Assessment Framework.
  • Provided oversight and governance for the Speed Management program, driving financial planning, monitoring, and reporting.

To be successful in this role, you will require experience in large-scale program and project delivery implementation, with a strong focus on stakeholder management, risk management, and people leadership. A relevant tertiary qualification and experience working in local and/or State government would be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professionals to deliver major state-wide road safety initiatives.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior executives on governance, risk management, and financial planning.
  • Act as a key liaison across internal branches, delivery units, and external stakeholders.
