**Production Planner Position Overview**

We are seeking a skilled production planner to assist in the coordination and scheduling of production activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, monitor and manage inventory levels, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and maintain production schedules for various departments based on customer orders, demand forecasts, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate production activities and communicate production priorities effectively.
  • Prepare reports and advise recommendations for production efficiency, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover and identify areas for improvement.

**Requirements:**

  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Planning, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • At least 2+ years' experience in production planning, with a proven track record of managing complex production operations preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional time management skills, be able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy & quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes & proficiency in using production planning software and tools.
