Job Description

As a rehabilitation consultant, you will play a vital role in helping clients regain their independence and achieve their goals in life and work. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and implementing intervention programs that improve functional performance, independence, and work capacity.

You will work closely with clients to identify barriers and design personalized programs that support them in achieving maximal work participation. Your goal is to empower clients to take control of their recovery and wellness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking occupational rehabilitation assessments, including activities of daily living, home, worksite, functional, ergonomic, equipment assessments
  • Designing and implementing intervention programs using occupation to improve functional performance, independence, and work capacity
  • Identifying barriers and designing, implementing, and monitoring programs that support people to achieve maximal work participation

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in occupational therapy, exercise physiology, or physiotherapy
  • Registration with either AHPRA or ESSA
  • A genuine desire to make a measurable impact in people's lives
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and stakeholders
