About our client is not relevant for this job post. We are looking for an associate to join our scientific affairs team.

The Scientific Affairs Associate plays a pivotal role in the development project team, providing scientific guidance to development team members and evaluating experimental work. The focus is on managing testing vendors and contract manufacturers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide scientific expertise to development team members ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Evaluate scientific data generated by development teams for accuracy and relevance.
  • Evaluate technical documentation and assist in selecting third-party service providers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assess critical manufacturing process parameters and in-process controls to guarantee product quality.
  • Oversee pilot and commercial batch production according to timeline and quality requirements to meet customer expectations.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure compliance with approved raw materials specifications and timelines.
  • Assist in project management by providing weekly progress reports to ensure product development meets project timelines and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Tertiary education in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering or related disciplines to provide a solid foundation for this role.
  • Experience in manufacturing pharmaceutical/cosmetic products is highly desirable as it demonstrates practical knowledge.
  • Sound capability to analyse and interpret scientific data to inform decision-making.
