Role Overview

This senior leadership position plays a pivotal role in driving scientific excellence within the region for infectious disease portfolios. Reporting to the Director of Scientific Leadership, you will be responsible for assessing the external and internal environment and implementing strategic plans for regional scientific communications, cross-functional medical projects, and JAPAC and LATAM congress activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage logistical support for JAPAC and LATAM Medical Affairs scientific communication and conference plans.
  • Provide scientific input on the relevance/impact of data within JAPAC and LATAM for COVID-19 vaccine and future vaccination programs.
  • Partner with JAPAC and LATAM Brand Teams to implement regional scientific communication projects and processes for assigned products.
  • Evaluate the evolving scientific landscape and literature for strategic alignment with integrated evidence generation plans and scientific narratives.
  • Stay informed on professional information and technology through conferences and/or medical literature.

Requirements:

  • Bioscience degree, PhD preferred, and 3 years' Medical Affairs experience preferably in vaccines.
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and develop/grow a functional area.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial methodology and local regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the compliance environment in which Medical Affairs functions.
