About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Healthscope as a Rehabilitation Patient Assessor, where you will play a critical role in assessing patients for our in-patient rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To conduct comprehensive face-to-face pre-admission clinical assessments to determine suitability of patients for our rehabilitation programs.
  • To effectively communicate the benefits and details of our rehabilitation programs to patients and their families/carers.
  • To promote our programs and facilities through the provision of information, education, and other activities.
  • To maintain optimal bed occupancy levels as agreed with the Executive Management Team.

Selection Criteria:

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
  • A minimum of five years rehabilitation nursing experience or postgraduate qualification in Rehabilitation Nursing.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Understanding of Guidelines for Recognition of Private Hospital-Based Rehabilitation Services.
  • Established interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Advanced clinical competence in rehabilitation nursing.
  • Understanding of and competence in AROC and FIM.
