Description

We are seeking an experienced BESS Project Manager to lead the technical commissioning and operations management activities for our growing portfolio of grid-scale battery energy storage systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and effective commissioning and day-to-day operation of our BESS assets deployed across the network.

Your primary focus will be on driving operational excellence, technical performance, and asset reliability from energisation through to the asset's end-of-life. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including Asset Performance Managers, Engineers, and Network Operations staff, to ensure a seamless transition from project delivery into ongoing commissioning and operational activities.

You will play a critical role in shaping industry-leading practices in grid-scale storage, influencing best-in-class approaches to asset management, maintenance, and technical performance. Additionally, you will engage with broader industry developments to capture operational learnings and insights that enhance internal capabilities and support future commercial opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
  • Proven experience in engineering management or O&M leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning and O&M for electrical infrastructure
  • Passion for renewable energy, innovation, and asset performance
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and commercial acumen
  • Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills
  • Recognised analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
