Event Operations Coordinator Job Overview

This is an entry-level management position that leads the banquet team while personally assisting in executing events based on requirements and standards. As Event Operations Coordinator, you will play a significant role in striving to continually improve guest and talent satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Event Execution: Ensures event spaces are set according to event documentation and customer requirements.
  • Talent Management: Manages talent levels to meet guest service standards, operational needs, and financial objectives.
  • Inventory and Asset Management: Manages departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment.
  • Supply Chain Management: Orders supplies for the department (e.g., Chinaware, glassware, silverware, buffet presentations, props, and other service equipment needs).
  • Collaboration with Event Planning Team: Work closely with the event planning team to ensure that all finer details are achieved for all events as per client requirements.
  • Leadership: Supervises banquet and all related areas in the absence of the Banquet Manager.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience at a supervisory level for min 2 years within banquets in a luxury hotel.
  • Skills: Knowledge of POS systems, purchasing platforms, BEO run sheets.
  • Communication Skills: Great verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Creativity: Out of the box thinking to provide a unique but still luxury service to our clients.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work on weekends/public holidays based on operational/business requirements.
