Job Title: Coastal Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a talented engineering team. As a Coastal Engineer, you will be involved in the design and planning of large-scale maritime facilities for various industries.

You will have exposure to different sectors, allowing you to rapidly develop valuable experience. You will be supported by other disciplines across your organisation and partners, working on projects such as defence upgrades, clean energy initiatives, boating infrastructure, wharf and port developments, and remediation of public assets.

This role requires leveraging existing coastal engineering experience to deliver concept designs through to construction phase support. You will also have opportunities to grow your leadership and business development skills by assisting with project management and proposal tasks.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Interest or experience in designing, evaluating, and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures.
  • Experience or interest in learning coastal modelling software (DELFT-3D, SWAN, MIKE).
  • Interest or experience working with local governments, clients, and/or the Defence sector.
  • Familiarity with Australian design codes and guidelines.
  • Working towards Chartered Professional Engineer credentials.
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance.
