We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This challenging role will involve ensuring customer compliance with agreed credit terms, claim management and minimising uncollectable debt.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable function for your portfolio, to ensure customer payments are made within approved terms.
  • Manage timely reconciliation of all debtor payments, including following up credits processing, promotional claims and communication to rectify any errors.
  • Ensure effective collection and retention of delivery documentation including proof of deliveries and consignment notes.
  • Manage customer claims in a timely manner and ensure they are actioned and resolved within an appropriate timeframe.
  • Prepare reports as required to assess accounts receivable performance and support bad debt write offs.

Skill Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Significant experience in collections and claims management in a high-volume environment
  • Experience in using business systems including large ERP
  • High attention to detail, strong capabilities in terms of prioritising work and meeting deadlines
  • Flexibility and open-mindedness to work effectively in a team environment
