Electrical Engineer Career Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Electrical Engineer to provide expert support and guidance in the field of electrical engineering.

  • Deliver high-quality technical assistance across high-voltage systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation of critical power generation assets.
  • Lead and contribute to comprehensive protection studies and system design reviews, applying expertise and knowledge to drive results.
  • Develop and execute plans for condition monitoring, equipment overhauls, and capital upgrade projects, leveraging engineering principles to diagnose failures and implement improvements.
  • Support commissioning, technical supervision, and specification of electrical works, collaborating with operations, projects, and asset teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Contribute to asset management strategies to extend equipment life at optimal cost, applying analytical skills and technical expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Degree-qualified Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer
  • More than 10 years' experience in LV/HV systems and equipment, with a strong foundation in protection studies and electrical design
  • Working knowledge of generators, transformers, inverters, or instrumentation highly desirable
  • Experience in plant operations, maintenance, or commissioning (power station experience ideal but not essential)
  • Chartered or working towards CPEng and relevant state-based registration (e.g. RPEQ)
  • Safety-focused, with clear and confident communication skills and a strong improvement mindset

Successful candidates will possess:

  • A degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Over 10 years of experience in LV/HV systems and equipment
  • A solid foundation in protection studies and electrical design
